Rock 'n' Roll Revival Club

The Wellington Rock 'n' Roll Revival Club started in 1978. It was started by a group of friends who were concerned at the lack of venues, where they could enjoy rock 'n' roll music. In the beginning the emphasis was more on the music and movies of the 50's, rather than the dancing, but that soon changed as talented dancers joined the club. Our club's objective is to encourage the enjoyment of rock 'n' roll music and dancing at all levels.

Today, the club meets at the Naenae Primary School, Wheatley Street, Naenae. Club Nights (Hops) are held at least once a month, with music provided by a DJ and on occasion, a live band. Entry prices are;

Supper is provided and refreshments are BYO. Doors open at 7.30 pm until midnight. To find out when our next club night is, please check the calendar.

Lessons are held regularly throughout the year for those interested in learning rock ' n' roll dancing or just need to brush up on their skills. Lessons range from Beginner to Advanced and workshops are also held from time to time.
Coaching is available for those that wish to compete in local or National competitions.
